What exactly are doing each Lord's day during our services?  Here is the short answer!

The reason we are here:  To worship God, honoring Him and receiving from Him the grace and mercy we desperately need.

We come at God’s invitation in the call to worship, in this we are entering God’s presence and transcending time, culture and space joining with the church around the world and in heaven.

In God’s presence we confess our faults and failures and receive from him the assurance of His pardon- He washes our guilt away, He forgives our sins and fills us with His Spirit.

We sing and exalt in this forgiving grace.

Jesus Christ is then heralded and exalted in an extended proclamation of God’s word.

Following this proclamation of Jesus we are given an opportunity to respond in the giving of our tithes and offerings and the lifting of our emotions and thoughts to God through song.

Once a month the service culminates as Jesus invites us to sit with him at His table and join Him for a meal.  This meal is not simply an act of eating of bread and grape juice, but it is where we feast with God and receive from Him grace upon grace.  We celebrate the sacrifice of Jesus body and and blood on the cross that purchased for us the forgiveness of sins, our adoption into God’s family, the cleansing of our guilt and defilement, the victory over Satan, the crushing of death itself, and eternal life in fellowship with God forever.  The bread is Jesus’ body broken for you and the wine is Jesus’ blood poured our for you.
